2012 Open Gardens---Important Information The gardens and hybridizers of the Northern Mecca want to thank you for you support and attendence of our open gardens and picnic for the past 5 years.  We had big thoughts when organizing this event, but your attendance surpassed all our expectations. The Northern Mecca plans to continue it's open garden policy for many years to come.  We certainly love meeting all the good folks who make efforts to come, and we love seeing them time and again. However, this coming  year (2012) will be slightly different then in the past.  Since Columbus, Ohio is host for the 2012 National and Its' proximity is an hour away, we felt it would be only right and proper to forgo the picnic this coming season. We feel it would be asking too much for people to attend both events so close to one another and only a week apart  in time. And since we value you so much, we will still maintain open gardens for those coming this way, then we will meet you at the National in Columbus for a wonderful time of fellowshilp,auctions, and garden viewing.  The National this coming year promises to be a "don't miss' event and  if the undercurrent is correct, will be a sold-out event. Thank You for your attendance and we hope to continue our event in 2013.
